In a not so distant past, linear storytelling was the pervasive marketing communication tactic used to reach consumers. Brand storytellers and traditional marketing agencies built fortresses on 30-second stories expecting people to simply listen and sit until the end.  It worked, no doubt about it. We enjoyed it.
